Coat color in dogs

This thesis was written in 1996 and 1997, at which time there were no color gene tests. The information collected in the thesis corresponds to the state of knowledge at that time. Some information, which today – about 25 years later – belong to the basic knowledge of color genetics, were not known at that time.

Therefore, this work is of limited suitability for learning the basics of color genetics, but should be read in its historical context.
